My Bucket List
0 Comments Published February 23rd, 2008 in Personal Tags: bucket list, cajon pass, chunnel, joso bridge, railroads, TGVI may as well keep up with a list of things I would like to do before I die. I have a few of them so far:
Spend a day at Cajon Pass in southern California: I am a big railroad fan, so anytime I see a train or a locomotive, I enjoy watching it pass […]
Counting Counties You Say?
1 Comment Published January 9th, 2008 in Personal, Rant/Opinion/Random Tags: counting counties, hobby, travelOne hobby of mine is to keep up with each county that I visit as I travel across the United States. Simply put, if I set foot inside a county, I keep track with it using this map. It is an interesting way of keeping up with where you have been, and it is more […]
My mother’s lack of fiscal control is troubling
0 Comments Published December 14th, 2006 in PersonalI will be the first to say that I would help my mother out when she needs help with something. If she needs some money, I would lend it to her without asking any questions. She rarely does ask me for money, but her financial siltation is very grim. Quite a while back her and […]
Just some bit of ranting and what’s on my mind right now
0 Comments Published December 3rd, 2006 in Personal, Rant/Opinion/RandomFirst I should say that if you are reading this from my blog (http://www.codyg1985.com), I usually don’t write blog entries pertaining to my personal life. I have also not been posting very many blog entries on here at all until recently. Still, I figure that writing what’s on my mind will help me […]
I have not posted on here in a while about my personal life, and this is mainly because I am trying to steer clear of that stuff in favor of more intellectual and stimulating content. With that said, however, some people may be coming here to see what is going on in my life, so […]
MSN Messenger and Trillian MSN Plugin kills internet connection
0 Comments Published May 15th, 2006 in Personal, TechnologyFor some strange reason, when I try to use the MSN plugin in Trillian and sign into MSN, my connection here no longer works. At first I tried it on my mom’s computer before the wireless network was set up. After a few minutes of signing in, the internet connection died, and the […]
Followup: Wireless network up and running!
0 Comments Published May 13th, 2006 in Personal, TechnologyI am typing this post on my computer after setting up the wireless network with a new wireless-g router (IEEE 802.11g). This router was a sinch to set up, although I had to change some DSL modem settings so that my ISP would accept using a router to share the internet connection.
I am a […]
As I stay here at my mothers until August when I move into an apartment of my own, I long to be able to have internet access on my computer, which is faster and better for me to use. I went on eBay and bought a factory-refurbished Linksys Wireless-B Broadband Router for $32.00, including shipping. […]
Are website forums an addition or something?
0 Comments Published May 8th, 2006 in Media/TV/Internet, PersonalEver since about 2001, I have been drawn to website forums. I have met people on forums, and I have even ran a forum for two years. I don’t know what draws me to forums; I guess people having a civil conversation about a subject in one forum and people just chilling and discussing a […]
Last Thursday was kickout day for all UAH dorms. Accordingly, I packed my belongings and made the 90 mile trek home. It is somewhat good to be back home, but I will miss the social aspect of living in the dorms, seeing that I will be getting my own apartment for Fall 2006.
Living in the […]
