Research suggests that materials that are retrofitted with nanotubes vibrate less under intense heat. The reason for this is because the nanocomposite materials experience better damping–the characteristic of a material to correct itself after undergoing vibrations, thereby reducing the resultant vibration of the material.

A bill to go before the New Mexico state legislature would ban the sale of drinks that contain the artificial sweetener aspartame. The bill calls the sweetener “a poison,” and that it is a known carcinogen.
