Murphy’s law ruled the day today

Today was one of the worst days that I have had in a while.

My internet access has been down for the past day, and it could have been fixed by removing a Windows registry entry, but I did not know that until a few minutes ago.

I took my computer over to the Computer and Network Services (CNS) building, and during the transport one of my hard drives in my computer began to fail.  As a result, my system was running extremely slow.  The CNS people could not troubleshoot the problem and told me to backup my data and reformat ASAP.

During that trip, my inside car door handle to the driver door all of a sudden did not open the door; I think a rod got loose or something.  In any case, I now have to open my car door from the outside.

I could not make it to any of my classes today due to me trying to fix the internet problem, and I later found out that one of my team members for my Engineering Economy class was involved in a car accident.  The accident did not injure her, but our team could not turn in an assignment that was due today.

As I said, Murphy’s Law prevailed today.
