Materials retrofitted with nanotubes found to vibrate less
Published February 8th, 2006 in TechnologyResearch suggests that materials that are retrofitted with nanotubes vibrate less under intense heat. The reason for this is because the nanocomposite materials experience better damping–the characteristic of a material to correct itself after undergoing vibrations, thereby reducing the resultant vibration of the material.
