Yes, some of us have had that experience at the end of your senior year of high school when you don’t feel like doing anymore work. It is just too much to ask to lift a pencil and write your name, much less an entire essay. The condition is known as “senioritis” by many high school and college students.

Of course, if you ask some people about this, each of those people would probably claim that they have always suffered from the condition. Others would claim that there is no such thing as senioritis; it’s all in their heads.

Senioritis can arise if the classes get dull, boring, and monontonous. In my case, my second semester of my junior year consisted of only one academic class; the others were an elective of my choice (newspaper staff) and two that were chosen for me because there was nothing else available. Those classes were interesting, so I was not as bored as I could have been; and thus, the senioritis did not take hold on me as badly as it could have.
